Here are the event’s info for tomorrow’s exhibit at the Circolo Culturale Amantes in #Turin, featuring my #sailor‘s project.

The exhibit will take place in conjunction of the #TorinoFilmFestival, where my cousin Alessandro Abba latest documentary “RADA” is featured. Rada is the story of the life of a retirement house for sailors in #Camogli#Italy, and the people who live in it.

In italian, Rada is the time when ships await to have permission to get in the harbor. During this time, sailors do maintenance work and most of all wait to have the ok.

Like in the Documentary, the focus of my project is on these people and on their stories. Each of them carry a different background and made different experiences. All of them thou were forged by the sea and destroyed by it. For so long a sailor lives on water, that by the time he’s old, a life on earth is compromised. He has no family, no roots: he’s out of his element. He has only memories and stories. But these stories are forever marked on his body, on his face, on his skin, in his wrinkles.
This is the story of these Sailors.

Come by see the exhibit if you are around and can make it!
